Tens of thousands of people globally whom Deutsche Bank will fire in the coming years will pay the price for the bank’s years of weak risk management and a corporate culture of poor ethics. Disproportionately, the future unemployed are not responsible for the long list of this global systemically important bank’s scandals and capital adequacy failures. These people will now be looking for jobs in countries where growth is anemic, slowing down or, worse yet, in recession.
